Role Summary :
As a Project Account Manager, you will be a key internal partner to the Capital Projects Sales Specialists (CPSS), supporting large-scale opportunities from initial bid through project completion. You'll serve as the primary customer support contact for electrical distributors involved in these projects, ensuring seamless communication, accurate quoting, and timely execution. This role requires close collaboration with the Quotations Department, Capital Projects Sales Specialists team, and regional sales to position OmniCable for success in securing and executing complex project orders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Coordination & Execution
- Serve as the internal point of contact for all large opportunities driven by the Capital Projects Sales Specialists.
- Communicate directly with electrical distributors to support quoting, order entry, and project updates.
- Collaborate with the Quotations Department to build and review quotes, ensuring accuracy in products, pricing, and specifications.
- Gather and manage spec submittals and project documentation.
- Enter and manage orders, monitor release schedules, and maintain project contracts.
- Track all quotes and orders from inception to completion, maintaining visibility across the project lifecycle.
- Monitor bid and buy dates to ensure timely execution and alignment with customer expectations.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of upcoming projects and provide regular updates to Capital Projects Sales Specialists and customers.
- Oversee post-order project management, including inventory tracking and release coordination.
- Quote & Order Management
- Verify the accuracy and quality of all project-related quotes.
- Work closely with the Quotations Department to align offerings with project needs.
- Monitor and track project opportunities and orders from bid to completion.
- Ensure timely delivery and execution of project milestones.
- Manage release schedules and project inventory.
- Maintain and update project contracts and documentation.
- Provide proactive communication and updates to Capital Projects Sales Specialists and customers throughout the order process.
- Process Support & Reporting
- Support forecasting and pipeline development using tools like CRMs and sales performance tools.
- Ensure inventory utilization strategies support project profitability and service expectations.
- Assist in standardizing use of sales performance tools, and other performance platforms across project support functions.
- Promote visibility of major wins, market trends, and project intelligence internally.
Work Experience
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 5 years of inside sales experience, preferably in electrical distribution or related industries.Strong understanding of project flow within the Electrical Distribution space.Deep knowledge of Wire & Cable products and applications.Proven ability to grow business through effective project support and customer engagement.Highly organized with strong planning and tracking capabilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Familiarity with ERP systems, CRM, and sales performance tools.Work Environment :
The position offers flexibility to work remotely or from any of OmniCable's sales offices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is frequent, requiring strong virtual communication and coordination skills.
