As the Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the identification, communication, measurement and management of potential risks that may impact the institution’s operations, reputation, and stakeholders.
This position will design and implement programs that are unique to UNL in areas of Risk Management. This position also includes : Investigation, negotiation and settlement of claims in conjunction with General Counsel for the University of Nebraska.
Review and approval of on and off campus student events for waivers and insurance. Working in conjunction with personnel to review workers compensation claims and the unemployment program.
Review contracts and certificates of insurance from vendors doing business with the University of Nebraska Lincoln. This role offers a unique blend of challenge and opportunity, providing the chance to make a meaningful impact in the UNL community.
