Scheduling Coordinator Armenian Nursing and Rehab

Our administrative team is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator who is a motivated and organized individual with the desire to "make a difference" to ensure that our nursing department schedules are properly staffed to ensure a continuum of quality care to our residents.

This is a Temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

Position Summary : The Scheduling Coordinator ensures appropriates scheduling of all RN's / LPN's and Certified Nursing Assistants to budgeted staffing levels to cover shifts that occur 24 / 7 / 365.

Primary Responsibilities include :

• Ensure adequate licensed and non-licensed staff to each floor of "Houses" to meet our staffing patterns and federal and state requirements;
• Review, record, and manage requests for time off in accordance with policies and procedures;
• Maintain staff attendance records;
• Update staffing sheets on an ongoing basis;
• Replace any call-outs as soon as possible;
• Monitor schedules to ensure that overtime is not incurred without the prior approval of the Administrator.
• Collaborate with the HR Specialist to report any incidents of absenteeism due to illness, workplace injury, leaves of absence or other Employee Relations information.
• Collaborate with the Employment Specialist to report staffing needs which may need to be recruited for.
• Participate in weekly Staffing Meetings with leadership, nursing and HR.

Qualifications :

• Must have at least 1-2 years as a scheduler in a hospital, nursing home or home care agency setting;
• Must have computer experience;
• Must possess outstanding organizational skills;
• Must be able to interact effectively and professionally with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel, the general public and other staff members.
