Overview

Community Transit, the local public transportation provider in Snohomish County, is seeking a Creative & Brand Manager in the Marketing Division. You’ll lead a talented group of in-house creative professionals and oversee the development of concepts, designs, and visual communication deliverables for our brand, products, marketing campaigns, digital initiatives, and content strategies.

If your interest is piqued by the opportunity to build a legacy leading an internal creative team at a mission-driven organization serving the public, then we may have the role for you.

What you are looking for :

  • To see the influence of your work and build on it over time
  • To thrive where creative work is valued and celebrated — receiving recognition such as national awards within our industry
  • To lead a team of close-knit, talented, and thoughtful creative professionals
  • To balance in-person collaboration and focus time with a hybrid work schedule of two days a week in our beautiful, modern office space
  • To enjoy true work-life balance with consistent work hours and generous paid time off
  • To build your future with a retirement pension and amazing employee benefits
  • To believe in the organization you work for and the benefits it brings to the community

What we are looking for :

  • A thoughtful leader of creative, campaign, and brand development, overseeing deliverables from beginning to end
  • A marketing professional with experience across traditional and digital channels, paid and organic media
  • A dexterous juggler of projects and resources, keeping dozens of simultaneous projects on track and a team of five working efficiently
  • An experienced people leader, with a supportive management style, who values strong relationships within the team and across work groups
  • A talented graphic designer and business writer in your own right, ready to pitch in when needed
  • An advocate for public transit who believes in our mission and values
  • Essential Duties

  • Assign and manage the creative production process, priorities, and project schedules.  Collaborate with and provide overall strategic direction to the designers and copywriters ensuring high quality work.  Seek feedback from customers external to projects.  Test materials in a live environment.
  • Oversee artistic and creative direction for the agency.  Lead team development of appropriately branded conceptual ideas, artwork, and messaging, with creative oversight of deliverables.  Ensure brand standards and brand integrity are maintained in the development of work projects.
  • Direct, plan, and organize projects involving creative media functions, copywriting, scriptwriting, promotional writing, storyboarding, producing, directing, and planning of digital animation, audio, photography, and video, including video and photo shoots.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in strategic creative projects.  Lead the team in transforming marketing strategies and messaging into impactful visual communications that engage target audiences and attract potential customers.  Oversee the development of processes that track and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage the creative work plan and budget.  Review project requests to fully utilize internal resources as well as external resources when necessary.  Develop scope of work.  Participate in and oversee timeline, selection and hiring of consultants and / or contracted services.  Review and approve work.
  • Supervise staff.  Prioritize and assign work, conduct performance evaluations, make hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations, ensure staff is trained, and offer professional development opportunities.  Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in all staff programs and activities.
  • Establish strong relationships and communication paths with stakeholders on creative projects and potential impacts.  Oversee team’s creative project schedules with other departments to ensure mutual deadlines are met and to minimize conflicting resource needs.  Balance client, customer, and stakeholder needs and requirements with the agency’s strategic objectives.
