PE Solar Engineer (Professional Engineer) - Construction Department
VALiNTRY is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) Solar Engineer to join the Construction Department. This role will drive PV design activities and ensure a seamless transition from system sales to high-quality installations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, while gaining significant exposure to all aspects of the solar and energy storage (Tesla) industry. Compensation : $95,000 - $140,000 annually, DOE.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the sales team to transition contracts into complete system designs, including electrical schematics, mechanical layouts, and permitting packages.Develop proposals for commercial and utility projects, including energy output modeling.Ensure designs comply with the National Electric Code (NEC).Produce design drawings for commercial projects to support permitting, utility interconnection, and installation.Support client PV system monitoring, reporting, and corrective actions.Oversee specification and review of bills of materials for commercial installation teams.Lead the design and preparation of project submittals, training materials, and technical documentation.Provide technical support to key clients.Offer support to the residential design team as needed.Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering. (Candidates with a clear path toward Project Management may also be considered.)1-2 years of relevant work experience.Proven ability to manage and supervise complex, parallel project activities.Familiarity with CAD design software (AutoCAD preferred).Ability to learn and utilize HelioScope, Energy Toolbase, and PVSyst solar design software.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent customer-facing abilities.Knowledge of PV system components, their functions, and key operating criteria.Familiarity with three-phase commercial and industrial electrical services.Willingness to occasionally participate in PV installation projects.Ability to learn site and electrical survey skills for project proposal preparation.VALiNTRY Services and all its divisions are equal-opportunity employers.
