Senior Manager, State And Local Tax

State and Local Tax Manager Location : Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 days / week in office)

We’re hiring a State and Local Tax Manager to join our Chicago-based tax team. This is a high-impact role for a process-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and leadership experience. You’ll oversee key compliance and provision activities, manage special projects, and lead a small team-all while helping shape strategic tax initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead state and local tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Manage ASC 740 provision work, including quarterly and annual reporting
• Drive process improvements and ensure accuracy in documentation
• Supervise and mentor two direct reports
• Lead special projects, including credit and incentive initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate and external tax teams
• Support audit responses and legislative impact assessments
