T-Mobile is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager of Credit Risk Management to lead supplier relationship management initiatives supporting our Credit, Fraud, Payments and Collections operations. This critical role is responsible for overseeing third-party vendor relationships that enable our fraud detection and credit decisioning capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of vendor management expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of risk mitigation strategies. As a key leader within the organization, you will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing external vendors who deliver essential services and technologies. You will ensure vendors meet operational expectations for performance, compliance, and innovation-partnering closely with Procurement, Legal, Risk, and Technology teams to align vendor capabilities with broader enterprise goals. Your efforts will directly contribute to the strength, adaptability, and scalability of T-Mobile's credit risk infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end relationship with key third-party vendors, including vendor selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, and renewal / termination strategies in alignment with business objectives.
Develops strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring solutions are secure, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with T-Mobile's credit and fraud mitigation goals.
Act as a liaison between internal teams-such as Credit Strategy, Fraud Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Legal-and external partners to ensure seamless solution integration and timely delivery of capabilities.
Effectively manage team by providing direction, developmental feedback, coaching, and the necessary tools to ensure success. This includes conducting performance reviews, career development planning, and assigning responsibilities with increasing levels of accountability.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or related degree (Required)
7-10 years experience in developing and negotiating complex agreements with Credit & Fraud suppliers, including key program specifications and objectives (FICO, Experian, TransUnion, LexisNexus, Equifax)
Leadership experience - Strong leadership skills to guide and develop a team of procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance culture. (Required)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Analytics - Strong analytical skills to assess procurement metrics and performance, facilitating data-driven decision making. (Required)
Financial Analysis - Ability to perform financial analysis to evaluate vendor proposals and the overall cost-effectiveness of procurement activities. (Required)
Problem Solving - Capability to identify and resolve complex issues within the procurement process to ensure operational continuity and efficiency. (Required)
Negotiations - Proficient in negotiation to achieve optimal contract terms and cost savings while maintaining quality and service standards. (Required)
Vendor Management - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders and lead executive-level presentations.
