Equity Operations Business Analyst
Trade Execution Costs and Client Commissions are areas of considerable focus with the CIB. The urgent need for the build out of a strategy and infrastructure to provide transparency, facilitate cost reduction, analyze client profitability and apply financial control is at the forefront of priorities within the Operations world, in partnership with other functions such as Markets, Finance and Technology.
As an Equities Business Analyst in Cost & Commission Services, you will support the expansion of our Global Equities Client Profitability programme, developing our strategic cost calculation and analytics platforms to provide automated solutions for client commissioning, billing and analytics.
This spans global functions and stakeholders, feeding into a number of key areas such as savings initiatives, reconciliations, cost accruals and allocations, payment processes and controls.
You will own the analysis, design and planning phases, defining requirements, completing testing and executing delivery of our strategic solutions with a primary focus on the North America Equity Derivatives and Cash businesses.
You will manage the integration of new solutions into existing processes across internal Operational functions, Front Office and Finance, with stakeholder management forming a key part of the position.
Job Responsibilities Analyze and document current versus future state processes and workflows Define optimum end to end operational model including key controls Partner with technology to collate business requirements and translate into technical solutions, supporting full technology lifecycle (requirements definition, UAT to production deployment) Lead working group discussions, providing stakeholders with progress updates throughout the project Present project highlights, risks and issues to senior managers via clear and concise communications Determine and implement solutions for cost allocation and reconciliation Identify areas of inefficiency for process improvement, supporting the change management agenda Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Business Analyst who is an extremely detail orientated self-starter, with strong analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Ability to work to tight deadlines, be flexible, organized and prioritize work Skillful at evaluating and improving processes, synthesizing information to reach logical conclusions, documenting and presenting findings Demonstrates proactive communication with global and local stakeholders Strong data analysis skills, conversant in Microsoft Office suite, Alteryx, SQLPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Knowledge of the Equities trade and execution lifecycle beneficial Knowledge of the software delivery lifecycle beneficial (Agile)
