Shipping / Receiving Clerk

Astra Foods is an elite cheese steak preferred manufacturer providing the finest quality beef and chicken products. We are seeking a Shipping / Receiving Clerk for location : Aston.

Responsibilities :

• Operate pallet jack, forklift or other hand truck
• Assist with loading and unloading activities along with ensuring that the right item is selected and that it is transported to the delivery pallet safely
• Use wireless RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory
• Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
• Perform cycle counts as required
• Pick, wrap and stage orders to be shipped
• Inspect and perform maintenance of pallet jacks, forklifts and other material handling equipment, recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines
• Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods
• Obtains copy of production schedule / shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
• Checking loads are secure
• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Transport raw materials to production workstations
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
• Take orders from supervisors for order picking activities
• Make sure that all items are boxed and labeled properly
• Undertake other duties as assigned
