This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team in Walmart ecommerce tackling interesting and evolving challenges related to seller risk. Working at Walmart will allow you to push your limits, challenge the status quo, and make a massive impact across Walmart's bottom line.

This role will focus on risk strategies and controls related to account management practices and account security. Which will include risk strategy development and deployment through risk platforms to mitigate account takeover risk along with taking proactive actions to mitigate loss and customer impact. Will work closely with decision science, data science, product, engineering, design, legal and compliance to implement the needed tech for account security and security layers that take into consideration agentic account access detection and control layers.

Primary tasks :

• Protecting the Walmart bottom line from numerous marketplace risks while enabling seller growth.
• Owning multiple processes, mechanisms and control layers that help protect Walmart.com from bad actors.
• Quickly iterating and testing ways to improve the customer experience, seller experience and financial bottom line.

Technology landscape awareness :

Develop business cases for projects with a projected return on investment or cost savings. Demonstrate deep functional knowledge of the business unit / domain. Translate business unit / domain requirements into projects, activities, and tasks and aligns to overall technology strategy. Serve as an interpreter and conduit to connect business unit / domain needs with tangible solutions and results. Participate in creating new processes and ways of working. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Provides market insights to key stakeholders based on research gathered and business knowledge by communicating data insights and global marketplace trends affecting the business using various communication tools; providing guidance and advising on next steps based on insights, objectives, and research; proposing improvements; and promoting the application of insights to support other departmental and leadership decisions and goals.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to champion products throughout the organization, including senior management and cross-functional group. Structured and organized thinker who can drive analytical and technology related projects to completion with minimal direction; intense analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to deep-dive when necessary. Analyzes and ensures accuracy of information by creating, maintaining, and evaluating of data; comparing data with third-party information, budgets, or actual results; analyzing and researching risks or compliance concerns; analyzing financial data, key performance indicators, and metrics; evaluating trends and reviewing results for accuracy; utilizing financial models, plans, and tools; and conducting analyses for special and recurring projects.

Provides data-driven analysis and insights to help support business strategies by evaluating ongoing analytical needs; reporting data-based insights in a uniform manner; reporting on business strategies; collaborating with internal and external business partners to build a consistent and accurate strategy for using data-driven insights; and providing expert advice and guidance on the application of technology system best practices. Foster an environment that supports learning innovation and intelligent risk taking while exhibiting resilience in the face of setbacks. Seek and implement continuous improvements through technology automation and encourages the team to leverage new digital tools and ways of working. Adopts a holistic perspective that considers data analytics, tech system capabilities, customer insights, sellers' insights and different parts of the business when making plans and shaping the team strategy. Develops and deploy strategies to mitigate abuse risks, apply friction points, drive changes, policies, process, and signals based on seller trust via risk platforms. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
