Account Director

Summary :

The Account Director will bring a wealth of agency and client experience, proven strategic leadership, brand-building expertise, and a track record of team building and growth. Must lead senior-client relationships with confidence and be comfortable discussing marketing and business needs with the client that go beyond advertising.

The Role :

• Embrace and actively develop an understanding of our clients' businesses and how they operate.
• Approach our clients with ideas and solutions based on marketing needs, and ensure that the solutions are grounded in marketing expertise and knowledge.
• Focus on the entire lifetime journey of attracting and retaining customers for our clients, understanding that our agency value lies in contributing to a customer's long-term relationship with the brand.
• Take an entrepreneurial, problem-solving approach when issues and challenges invariably arise in the course of managing your accounts.
• Push our clients to be bold and take risks, when it is prudent to do so, and assist them on the journey to get there.
• Lead your teams and clients by way of your example, through professionalism, intelligence, and decisiveness.
• Cultivate client opportunities by actively seeking organic growth.
• Maintain client relationships, ensuring overall satisfaction with the team and agency.
• Develop a vast understanding of the clients' business and the category in which they compete.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the clients.
• Find common ground when others cannot.
• For creative accounts, assess creative concepting and execution, to ensure that work ladders up to the agreed-upon objectives and strategy.
• For integrated creative + media accounts, assess creative as noted above, as well as media strategies and tactics, playing a collaborative role in the media planning process.
• Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports.
• Demonstrate proficiency in authoring strategies and presentation decks.
