Job Description

The job responsibilities of the Design Engineer include the following :

• Conceptualize from scratch AV systems designs for the client companies
• Interface & maintain ongoing dialogue for projects with Clients, Sales, CAD, and Tech Ops team members
• Provide documentation for quotes & bid packages detailing equipment, cost, labor estimates, pre-installation requirements, and site survey results
• Develop detailed Bill of Materials (BOM), detailed infrastructure drawings in CAD for architect, general contractor and electrical contractor use, and create final engineering drawings for rack layout, system wiring and custom plates or cabling assemblies
• Maintain awareness of emerging technology that can fit our client’s budget without sacrificing quality or reliability

Job Requirements : Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with QCS controls, Biamp, Audio DSP, Shure and Intelix. Great to have : AVPro Edge and Visionary Solutions for VoIP / switchers Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with AV equipment Advanced knowledge of TCP / IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls are preferred. Advanced working knowledge of computers (Windows-based) and software. Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and embrace a team-centric environment. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents including product specifications, wiring diagrams, and architectural drawings. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive customer inquiries or complaints. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Valid driver’s license with minimum 3-year clean driving record. Infocomm CTS certification (within 6 months of employment start) & CTS-I within 12 months Maintain and / or acquire OSHA 10 Hr construction within 3 months from employment start.
