Payroll Analyst

Duration : 12 months contract (Hybrid) Job Description : The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for multiple employee groups, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves maintaining payroll records, reconciling reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing excellent support to employees regarding payroll inquiries. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a customer-first approach to deliver an efficient and compliant payroll function. Responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for multiple employee groups, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities : Process bi-weekly payrolls with accuracy and timeliness for multiple employee groups. Review and validate timesheets, earnings, deductions, taxes, and other payroll-related data. Ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Maintain and update employee payroll records in ADP Workforce Now; audit and validate Workday interface file data. Accurately process new hires, terminations, and leave-of-absence (LOA) changes. Manage benefit catch-up deductions for employees returning from LOA. Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Input data from time sheets, production records, or individual timecards into the payroll system Prepare, reconcile, and distribute payroll reports as needed. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations. Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency. Experience : 4–7 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably within a mid to large-sized organization. CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) is a plus. Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas). Familiarity with Workday HRIS and timekeeping systems (e.g., Replicon). Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, including tax and labor laws.
