Who are we looking for?
GHD, a multi-national design, engineering and environmental firm, is seeking a hardworking and digitally capable Graduate Landscape Designer tojoin one of our Roseville or Sacramento offices.
The selected candidate will join a growing design group in the US West division of GHD a team consisting of other landscape architects, urban designers, and urban planning policy professionals.
Our small team works closely with Architects, Civil Engineering and Transportation disciplines.
This role will support Landscape Architectural design services to a wide range of project types, from site planning in the public realm to private sector landscapes that combine green infrastructure and civil engineering.
The selected candidate will provide technical drawings and design support for planting, irrigation and site / urban amenity designs and construction detailing.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in :
- Site research, programming, and analysis
- Landscape Architecture site design support
- Development of 3d models and renderings for visually compelling presentations
- Aid in the development of Landscape Architecture construction documents
- Design calculations and cost estimating
What you will bring to the team :
- 0-2 years of experience
- Submission of transcripts
- Academic and / or professional portfolio
- Interest toward acquiring a California Landscape Architecture License
- ACAD (AutoCAD or Civil 3D) and Sketchup experience
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Understanding and experience in irrigation design a plus
- LandFX experience preferred, and a plus. Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-design) and Lumion, or other Rendering Software, a plus
- Knowledge of native plants, water-wise ornamental trees and shrubs, their characteristics and appropriate use in a variety of landscape settings
- Entry level technical understanding of development elements for landscape architecture
- Familiarity with processes and workflow for landscape architecture, civil engineering, architecture
- Ability to take direction and constructively process professional critique
- Self-organizes to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel statewide, and possibly within North America
