About The Position

Experience : Minimum 2 years, Level 1 Trauma Center experience required

License : Must be in hand prior to start date

Certifications : BCLS and NBSTSAS

Must-Have :

Candidates must be able to receive pump lines from perfusion and prepare them for cannulation.

Experience with vascular and thoracic surgery cases is required.

Experience with procedures including, but not limited to, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Atherectomy, Atrial Septal Defect Repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery, Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window, Robotic Assisted Cardiac Surgery, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR), Ventricular Assist Device (VAD), Heart and Lung Transplant, Valve Replacement, and Aortic Dissection is expected.

Description :

This position involves working in a cardiovascular operating room as part of a surgical team.

The tech will support surgical procedures by preparing and organizing instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities include collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff during surgeries.

Candidates must be adaptable and willing to work on call.

Call requirement is approximately 60-70 hours per month, with one weekend of call per month from Friday at 5 PM until Monday at 7 : 30 AM.

Candidates may also be called in before regular shifts if needed.

First-time travelers are accepted if they meet Trauma Level 1 experience requirements.

Travelers must float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities as required.
