Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Nashville, Tennessee (37203) – Top destination for travel nursing jobs Healthcare Facility : Centennial Medical Center, 12 Tower Unit : Med / Surg (36 beds) Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse assignment Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 26 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00AM – 7 : 00PM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block EMR : Meditech Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,440 - $1,550 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (required for all travel nurse jobs) BLS and NIHSS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Proficient in basic patient assessments and care for wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures Experience with post-op care : amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, wound vacs Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to float to other units as needed Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse Med / Surg patient population Conduct bedside shift reports and perform safety checks every 1-2 hours Operate clinical equipment : PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, Alaris IV Pumps Accurately document patient care in Meditech EMR Monitor infection prevention protocols (CVC and Foley monitoring, standard precautions) Participate in fall prevention and medication scanning (including controlled substances) Collaborate with an energetic healthcare team and supportive leadership Float to other units as needed, upholding high standards of patient care and accountability Ready to take your nursing career to the next level in Nashville?
