Sr. Business Analyst – Industrial Maintenance Accounting
Base pay range $69,000.00 / yr - $103,000.00 / yr
Description
The BAR – Maintenance Accounting team will be filling a Senior Business Analyst position that will support the Industrial business areas. This position also drives various complex projects and analyses to higher level organization leaders within the business areas.
Responsibilities Include
- Developing databases, worksheets and queries for capturing and reporting useful information to enable fact-based decision-making
- Preparation of financial reports, systems and system development and enhancements
- Preparing and summarizing conclusions for various ad-hoc requests to business leaders in answering business questions outside the scope of business initiatives
- Providing analytical and consultative business services, both individually and through cross-functional teams, supporting supply chain business areas
- Providing updates on significant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned business areas, as well as economic performance for Publix operating areas
- Supporting tactical projects, requests, and other analytical needs
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or another analytical discipline with at least 2 years relevant business experience or equivalentAssociate's degree in Finance, Accounting or another analytical discipline with at least 4 years relevant business experience or equivalentHigh School diploma with at least 6 years relevant business experience or equivalentBe at least 20 years old with a valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicleMust possess the following skills : Drive, Time Management, Arithmetic Computation, Financial Acumen, Detail Orientation, Strategic Thinking, Building Relationships, Customer Focus, Presentation Skills, Written and Verbal communication, Strong organizational and researching skills, Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsBasic Microsoft Word skillsIntermediate Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access skillsMust be available to work weekends, holidays and extended hours as business needs requirePreferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Accounting or MBA with concentration in Accounting or Finance with at least 3 years relevant business experience or equivalent4 years or more years of analytical experience in KPI reporting and operational managementCertified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant or other certifications specific to the positionKnowledge of finance and accounting principles to develop financial analysis-based recommendationsKnowledge of other business units, including their basic roles and responsibilitiesIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft WordAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access skillsKnowledge of Power BI or similar visualization toolsKnowledge of major Publix Systems (SAP, EDW, Host, PIMS, Marwood, FINDSS, DB2) and the inter-relationships of those systemsKnowledge of SQL (Teradata, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Access, Informix)Benefits Information
