- This is not a remote position; the candidate will be based in Raleigh NC and will be asked to travel to Charlotte data center for any hardware issues.

The Client seeks a contract resource to assist with the support of the NC FAST Application Development Environment for NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST). The resource will act as the technical Linux / Windows Administrator and maintain UCS servers in a VMware environment. This position requires the ability to work in a fast spaced environment and ability to support and resolve incident tickets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Install, maintain, and upgrade internal computer software systems used for designing and developing company products.
Control user access and passwordsPropose and implement systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.Monitor usage and performanceTrain personnel on system usageMaintain the VMware-based environments Monitor the virtual server infrastructure environment's health status.Be willing to travel at any time to troubleshoot any hardware issues in our data centers in Raleigh and Charlotte area.Research, evaluate and recommend software and hardware products.Provide new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth.Work as a team member in a fast-paced environment 24 / 7, 7 days a week.On-call support every other week and occasional weekend / holiday work requiredAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.QUALIFICATIONS :
8 years' experience as a System AdministratorExperience in Managing VMware vCenter 8.0 or newer.Experience in managing Nagios.Hands-on support of the UNIX / Windows environment including OS administration and systems support.Experience interacting with Security, Audit, DBA, Networking, Microsoft, and development groups.Experience with customer support in a time-critical environmentAnalytical and methodical approach to problem solving.Excellent verbal and written communication skills requiredExperience managing and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux on x86.Experience managing and maintaining Windows servers.Experience managing and maintaining SQL servers.Experience managing and maintaining storage such as Pure storage and VSAN.Strong shell scripting abilitiesAbility to implement Processes and Procedures creating controls and standardization across large regions.Business aware and focused on service delivery.Experience with standard office automation products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)Desired :
