Staff Accountant - LifeShield

LifeShield and its subsidiary, Individual Assurance Company (IAC), comprise one of the nation's most dynamic and rapidly growing carriers. LifeShield focuses on life and supplemental accident and health insurance products for individuals, families, businesses and associations, while IAC specializes in Medicare Supplement and group life policy administration.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for analysis and reporting functions for LifeShield National Insurance Co. and Homeshield Fire & Casualty Insurance Co. These responsibilities will include general ledger entries, preparation of accounting reports and reconciliations, preparation and analysis of annual and quarterly statutory statements, business process improvement initiatives, and other related duties. As LifeShield continues to grow, the Accounting team offers strong potential for advancement and opportunities for career development.

Position Requirements :

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 3.0 cumulative GPA is required. Preference will be given to candidates with insurance industry, public accounting, or other relevant experience. The candidates must be a strong user of MS Excel and possess competent PC skills generally. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a proactive work ethic, are also required to be successful in this position.

Education Bachelors of Accounting (required)

Experience 1 - 5 years : Accounting Experience (preferred)
