HR Business Partner
As an HR Business Partner at Impulse, you will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring a high-performing, engaged, and compliant workplace. This role blends hands-on employee relations expertise with strategic benefits management to support a diverse, high-volume and fast-paced engineering and operations workforce.
Responsibilities
Execute on people initiatives including engagement and retention, talent management and development, succession planning, compliance, benefits and leave of absences.
Serve as a primary point of contact for benefits, open enrollment and leave of absences; Counsel employees on individual leave needs
Analyze HR analytics and make recommendations on new initiatives, programs or policies to improve employee experience
Recommend and execute learning and development programs
Work closely with Head of People Operations to manage and resolve employee relations issues by coaching and counseling; Recommend appropriate course of action and lead disciplinary discussions as needed
Build strong rapport with managers and employees across the organization
Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees
Stay up to date on, and enforce relevant state and federal labor and employment laws
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
6+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3+ years in employee relations and benefits administration
Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices
Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues with sound judgment and discretion
Demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
Masters degree in Human Resources, Communications, Psychology or related field
4+ years of demonstrated experience working in engineering, aerospace, or high-tech environments
Demonstrated experience handling high-volume employee relations & benefits administration work
Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations
Proven track record of building trust and credibility across all levels of an organization
Additional Information : Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
