About The Position

Experience :

Minimum of 1.5 years in high acuity / high census PICU

License :

Registered Nurse License required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS

Must-Have :

Experience working with patients aged birth to 18 years

Proven experience with the following skills :

• Arterial lines
• Conscious sedation
• CRRT
• ECMO
• Critical care for metabolic patients, respiratory issues, endocrinology, oncology, neurosurgery, level 1 trauma
• Cardiology

Description :

The position requires a registered nurse with a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a high acuity and high census Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

The nurse will be expected to work nights and cover two of the three major holidays.

The role involves providing critical care to patients ranging from birth to 18 years old.

Candidates must have experience managing complex cases including metabolic, respiratory, and neurological conditions.

Skills in arterial line management, conscious sedation, and care for ventilated patients are essential.

The nurse may be required to float to other areas such as NICU and CVICU as necessary.

Documentation will be completed using the Cerner charting system.

The position requires strong collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including various support services.

Candidates should have previous assignments lasting more than eight weeks at high volume and reputable facilities.

The role does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius.

References from supervisors within the last year will be required for consideration.

Candidates must submit a valid and active RN license.
