Job Location : 901 N. Cameron St Harrisburg, PA 17101

Rate of Pay : $30.21 / hour at time of hire with an increase to $33.56 / hour after successful completion of 90-day training and probationary period.

Schedule : Monday thru Friday 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

The 1st Class Mechanic (Paint and Body Shop) specializes in complex diagnosis and repairs, inspections, paint, major body repair, estimates, structural verification, all other class functions.

Some of Essential knowledge, skills, abilities and experience :

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Six years of full time experience as a body shop technician diagnosing malfunctions, and repairing heavy-duty vehicles. Up to one year of the required experience may be substituted by successful completion of vocational education. Must have a minimum of one year maintenance experience on transit vehicles.
• Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle body repair.
• Knowledge of equipment repair cost estimation.
• Ability to train others in body shop / paint technician job tasks.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair principles, procedures, methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of equipment and specialized tools.
