Senior Platform Engineer, Workday Financials

We are seeking WorkDay Platform Engineers who are passionate about developing highly‑resilient, fundamentally‑sound objects to support the core Finance technology driving Capital One. As part of a team that’s leading the next wave of disruption on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One's Finance Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and bring your expertise to drive innovative solutions.

General Responsibilities

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
• Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating Finance value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business
• Deliver solutions in Workday platform across the Finance modules of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
• Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with Finance partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
• Continually research, test and stay up-to‑date on Workday Technology & Platform updates, fixes and capabilities
• Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation & maintenance
• Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective
• Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues

Salaries

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
