Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting team is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client in South Reno. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a growing organization within the retail industry.
Responsibilities :
- Input accounts payable transactions for multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review supporting documents to verify payment eligibility and prepare payments accordingly.
- Manage monthly paper check processing and electronic payment transactions throughout the month.
- Investigate and resolve accounts payable discrepancies, documenting resolutions effectively.
- Conduct audits of financial transactions, verifying accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Provide guidance on accounting procedures by interpreting relevant policies and regulations.
- Maintain precise records of financial transactions and ensure prompt entry into accounting systems.
- Safeguard sensitive financial information to uphold confidentiality and build trust with stakeholders.
- Support the team by performing additional tasks as assigned by the team
- Proficiency with accounting software; experience with QuickBooks is highly preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, to interact professionally across all levels of management.
- Educational background in Accounting or Corporate Finance is preferred.
- Strong competencies in reporting, attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, conduct research, and perform accurate data entry.
- Solid understanding of basic math and financial principles.
