Domestic Air Freight Operations Agent

Job Summary : As the Air Freight Operations Agent, you will be directly responsible for the timely and profitable movement of shipments tendered to the company, ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory requirements. (90% Domestic )

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Directly oversee the routing of all shipments, optimizing consolidation opportunities
• Ensure customer service expectations are met consistently
• Confirm completion of all pickups and promptly address any issues with vendors
• Coordinate Black and Gold drops at Line Haul, ensuring nightly cut-offs are adhered to
• Update and maintain accurate shipment information in the computer system
• Foster and develop relationships with airline and surface carriers
• Enforce compliance with regulatory standards, including IATA and TSA regulations
• Lead and support the PM OPS personnel, actively engaging in customer service matters
• Streamline paperwork processes to enhance operational efficiency
• Provide quotes and track / trace shipments as necessary to support the operations team
• Evaluate and select external vendors to supplement operational needs
• Assist in completing Carrier "Report Card" with carrier feedback
• Handle OS&D (Over, Short, and Damage) issues swiftly and effectively
• Negotiate spot rates on line hauls and with airlines to optimize cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years of job-related or industry work experience
• Proficiency in Excel ,Word and Outlook
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and achieve objectives without direct supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address recurring issues
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by the VP of Operations
• Flexibility to work across multiple shifts as required.
