Job description-
Role Overview
The SAP Inventory Management Consultant will be responsible for implementing configuring and supporting SAP MM-IM processes within ECC or S / 4HANA. This role ensures efficient material movement accurate stock handling inventory accuracy and seamless integration across procurement warehousing and finance.
Key Responsibilities
1. SAP Inventory Management Configuration
- Configure material movements goods receipt (GR) goods issue (GI) transfer postings and stock transfers.
- Set up physical inventory cycle counting tolerance limits and movement types.
- Configure special stocks (consignment subcontracting sales order stock project stock).
- Maintain material master settings impacting inventory (MRP valuation storage).
- Integrate IM processes with Warehouse Management (WM / EWM) and Quality Management (QM).
2. Inventory Control & Optimization
Support inventory planning stock accuracy material availability and storage optimization.Enable batch management and serial number tracking where applicable.Implement inventory KPIs (slow-moving non-moving shrinkage accuracy etc.).Recommend process improvements for inventory workflows.3. Cross-Functional Integration
Integrate IM with :Procurement (MM-PUR)Production (PP)Finance / Controlling (FI / CO)Sales & Distribution (SD)EWM / WM for warehouse processesSupport inbound / outbound logistics and material document postings.4. Project Delivery
Conduct AS-IS / TO-BE analysis blueprinting and solution design.Perform configuration testing cutover planning and go-live support.Prepare functional specifications for WRICEF objects.Work closely with technical teams for integrations or enhancements.Provide training and UAT support to business users.Required Skills & Qualifications
4 years experience in SAP MM Inventory Management.Strong understanding of :Stock types and movement typesGR / GI processesReservations and transfer postingsBatch / serial managementPhysical inventoryHands-on experience with S / 4HANA is a strong advantage.Good knowledge of logistics and procurement processes.Strong communication and documentation skills.Key Skills
