About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Director for our Construction Excess business unit. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy for the portfolio, emphasizing both organic growth and strategic partnerships. This leadership role calls for a strong underwriting background in the construction insurance sector, a proven track record in new product development, marketing initiatives, and exceptional people management skills to cultivate and lead a high-performing team.

The Director will be responsible for ensuring the profitability of the business unit, maintaining stringent underwriting standards, and effective expense management. You will collaborate closely with actuaries to tailor and price construction XS products, drive sales and marketing strategies, and critically assess reinsurance opportunities to optimize our risk profile.
