Join Our Team as a Part-Time Accounting Coordinator! Location : Hybrid – Primarily remote, local to Frederick, MD preferred Schedule : Approximately 20 hours per week, core daytime hours 9am-3pm with flexibility Pay : $25 / hour Looking for a part-time opportunity that fits your schedule while keeping your accounting skills sharp? We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join our team and help manage the day-to-day accounting operations without committing to full-time hours. What You’ll Do : Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable / receivable, vendor management, W-9 collection, cash entries, and customer invoicing. Monitor the main accounting email inbox to ensure timely handling of invoices, inquiries, payroll notices, and other communications. Process biweekly payroll under the guidance of the Accounting Manager. Collaborate with HR on payroll, benefits, and employee-related accounting matters. Assist with customer and vendor registration, coordinating with Sales and Customer Success. Support month-end and year-end close tasks. Prepare documentation for audits, taxes, and special projects. Create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking, analysis, or project management. Contribute to process improvements and optimize the use of systems like QuickBooks, Bill.com, and other integrations. Skills & Attributes : Tech-forward, computer savvy, and comfortable learning new systems. Organized, analytical, and detail oriented. Collaborative, proactive, and a strong problem solver. Professional and discreet when handling confidential information. Adaptable to a dynamic, changing work environment. Education & Experience : 1–3 years of experience in an accounting / bookkeeping. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Bill.com is preferred Knowledge of accrual-based accounting is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional interpersonal style. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
