Description
The System Director of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) for the Emory Hospitals provides leadership for CDI strategies, initiatives and department operations across all facilities.
The Emory CDI Program encompasses services at the following campuses : Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory University Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, and Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital.
This responsibility includes CDI strategy development and implementation; planning, execution, and monitoring of progress towards department and organizational goals; adopting industry best practices; and, serving as the system subject matter expert in CDI.
This leader will develop and maintain strong working relationships with Medical Staff Leadership and their members, system and site specific senior leaders, system and site specific Quality leaders, other leaders in the HIM Department particularly in Coding, Hospital Revenue Cycle, and Hospital Finance.
Performs other related duties as required.
