Payroll Specialist
Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced payroll specialist for a contract with our client in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience and a strong understanding of payroll procedures. Responsibilities include delivering timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of payroll, maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll documentation and records, assisting with additional payroll-related functions such as HRIS input and report generation, providing assistance to employees regarding all payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner, coordinating closely with the HR department to ensure accurate payroll data, and complying with local, state, and federal regulations regarding payroll.
Requirements : A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with payroll software, excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes, strong attention to detail and accuracy, confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive payroll information, and exceptional organizational and communication skills. While a degree is not required for this position, expertise gained through professional experience is crucial.
