Metric Geo have partnered with a premier engineering and design services leader in the nationwide energy sector. Committed to innovation and excellence, they specialize in the Oil & Gas industry, delivering high-quality services ranging from multi-well site design to comprehensive field developments.

They are in the process of expanding their operations and are seeking a skilled Junior Mechanical Engineer to enhance their project delivery team.

This role will allow you to engage directly in core engineering processes and develop your professional skills in a dynamic work environment.

What You’ll Do :

  • Collaborate with our mechanical engineering team to support project execution.
  • Engage in foundational mechanical engineering tasks including pipe sizing, pressure loss calculations, and application of piping specifications.
  • Utilize CADWorx for piping specification support and perform basic CAD drafting.
  • Participate in the creation and review of P&IDs, engineering evaluations, line lists, and equipment lists.
  • Conduct research on specifications and calculations under guidance.
  • Ensure all work adheres to relevant engineering codes, standards, and company policies.
  • Work across various levels of the organization, interacting with senior management, clients, and other disciplines.
  • Travel occasionally to support field work activities, including site commissioning.
  • Analyze problems, define solutions, and effectively manage your workflow to meet deadlines.

Who You Are :

  • Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred, but not required.
  • A problem solver, flexible and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ready to learn, grow, and tackle challenges head-on.

Compensation and Benefits :

  • A competitive starting salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
