Metric Geo have partnered with a premier engineering and design services leader in the nationwide energy sector. Committed to innovation and excellence, they specialize in the Oil & Gas industry, delivering high-quality services ranging from multi-well site design to comprehensive field developments.
They are in the process of expanding their operations and are seeking a skilled Mechanical / Piping Drafter to join their dynamic team.
This role offers the chance to work on innovative projects within the Oil & Gas sector, utilizing your expertise in AutoCAD and CadWorx to produce critical design documentation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create and revise detailed drawings including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and other technical drawings.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to review sketches and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the project requirements.
- Adhere to all legal standards and regulatory requirements in drafting practices.
- Conduct field walk-downs to gather data needed for drafting accurate designs.
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines, with a willingness to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications :
- Associates Degree in a relevant field or equivalent drafting experience.
- 0-5 years of experience in drafting / design, particularly using AutoCAD 2D and CadWorx.
- Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of drafting P&IDs is preferred.
