Medical Receptionist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota on a part-time basis. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients while supporting clinic operations. This is a contract position within the healthcare industry, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities :
- Welcome and check in patients for clinic and radiology appointments, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience.
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding required forms and documentation.
- Collect and verify demographic and insurance information, entering details accurately into the NextGen system for billing purposes.
- Process patient payments, including co-pays, swiftly and accurately.
- Prepare daily charts for scheduled appointments to maintain efficient clinic operations.
- Assist patients in scheduling follow-up appointments and provide guidance on the patient portal.
- Coordinate interpreter services for patients requiring language assistance.
- Update and maintain the provider database within NextGen to ensure accurate tracking of referring providers.
- Keep the front office area tidy and organized, including restocking supplies and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with clinic staff to support smooth workflows and continuity of care for patients.
Requirements :
Proven experience in patient registration and medical front office operations.Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist patients and visitors effectively.Proficiency in scheduling appointments and managing calendars.Skilled in accurate data entry and maintaining detailed records.Familiarity with medical billing systems, specifically NextGen, is preferred.Ability to organize and manage office supplies efficiently.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain forms and processes clearly.Commitment to working collaboratively with clinic staff and maintaining patient satisfaction.
