This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Waukesha State Office Building in Waukesha, WI at least 2 days per week. Position Summary
This position performs complex, independent, and innovative technical functions of a professional engineering nature along with responsible for administrative and financial management functions in the development, financial accounting, and monitoring of Region Improvement programs. The incumbent has primary responsibility for solicitation, engineering review, and financial oversight of state and federally funded local projects in the following programs :

All work functions are performed in accordance with the applicable Wisconsin Statutes & Administrative Rules, the Code of Federal Regulations, and other federal guidance documents; nevertheless, independent judgments and decisions are frequently required.
Because of the diversity, complexity, and potential impact of each of the programs, as well as their complex interrelationships with one another and with the overall goals and objectives of the Department, this position requires extensive, sensitive communication and coordination within the Department, and with other state agencies, members of the Legislature, the public, local units of government, engineering consultants, the media, and other interested and / or affected groups.
Salary Information
This position is in schedule-range (14-13) with an annual salary of $92,768 - $112,237, plus excellent benefits . Plus, an additional $2,080 per year for a Professional Engineer License.
A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
