About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

• EPIC proficiency (no exceptions)
• IV start
• Telemetry interpretation

Description :

Chesapeake is located in a beautiful coastal area.

It offers trails for all levels of hikers and over 20 waterways to explore.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 7; please ensure your candidate is pre-close on patient ratios.

Candidates will not be considered if there are any prior license or background hits.

The unit deals with a wide variety of medical and surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring.

Common patient diagnoses include heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetic conditions, cellulitis, and high fall-risk patients.

The unit performs blood administration, heparin drips, wound care, and central line management.

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Nurses will have a daily patient census of 28 in a unit with 29 beds.

Weekend coverage is required, and all requests for time off must be included in submissions.

All candidates must pass a basic EKG testing and fit testing requirements are strictly enforced.

This position requires extensive telemetry-related skills.

Specific skills needed include blood product administration, central line care, and the ability to manage cardiac drips without titration.

Modules are required to be completed before starting.
