Qualifications :

1. Must be able to read, write and understand English.

2. U.S. Citizen or proof of ability to work in U.S.

3. Ability to cooperate with others.

4. Previous work experience.

5. Job References.

6. Proof of good physical health.

7. Have the ability to follow standardized recipes.

Duties and Responsibilities :

This position is under the direct supervision of the Administrator. This individual will be expected to follow standardized recipes. Responsible for maintaining a proper and accurate inventory. Responsible for keeping kitchen equipment clean at all times. Must make sure that any SPECIAL DIETS are followed. Must report to Administrator any significant changes in a residents’ eating habits. Must make sure ALL leftover foods are stored in proper containers, labeled and dated. Must make sure that refrigerators and freezers are operating at the correct temperatures and are equipped with thermometers. Must follow measurements accurately.

Daily Tasks :

1. Prepare breakfast.

2. Check cleanliness of all equipment.

3. Check menu for the up-coming meals and report to Administrator any substitutions that might have been made.

4. Prepare and serve the lunch meals.

5. Prepare and serve evening diner meals.

Weekly Tasks :

1. Check all equipment to make sure it is in proper working.

2. Check menus for the following week and prepare food purchase list.

3. File menus and recipes from prior week in proper place and order.
