RN Health Educator
Job Summary :
Coordinates and provides clinical and educational services at community and corporate events and screenings. Assists in the design and development of prevention / education lectures and screenings.
Provides patient / client consultations specific to cardiovascular health management including screening results interpretation.
Required :
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in area of specialty or 5 years' experience in area of specialty
- Illinois Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association (BLS Provider or BLS Instructor)
- Effective communication and public speaking skills
- Baccalaureate
Degree or higher in Nursing within 5 years of a hire date
Preferred :
- Baccalaureate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Current Cardiovascular educator with one year experience in lipid management, cardiac rehabilitation, or therapeutic lifestyle counseling
- Acute care background
- Experience with MS Office (Power Point, Excel, Word)
