Accountant Opportunity In Houston

We are looking for a skilled accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. This position is a contract to permanent opportunity within the dynamic oil & gas field services industry. The role requires working on-site five days a week and offers the chance to contribute to essential financial operations while supporting the organization's growth.

Responsibilities :

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and record journal entries to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure alignment with financial records.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to streamline accounting functions.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with team members to address any discrepancies or issues in financial data.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Contribute to process improvements and the optimization of accounting systems.
