Caregivers - San Juan Capistrano

Job Summary :

Do you have a passion for helping others? As a personal care caregiver with our Senior Helpers South OC, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life by providing compassionate, dignified care.

In this role, you will assist clients with tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, and incontinence care.

You'll help mobilize clients by safely transferring them between their bed, wheelchair, chairs, and toilet. Most importantly, you'll monitor client safety, report any changes in condition, and provide meaningful companionship through conversation.

We're seeking detail-oriented individuals who can follow care plans closely while also being flexible and adaptable as clients' needs change.

• Salary range of $18 to $20 per hour, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities :

• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
• Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Providing mobility assistance and support with transferring and positioning
• Administering prescribed medication and monitoring clients' health
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding
• Performing light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and dishes
• Transporting clients to appointments and outings
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in clients' condition to the supervisor

Requirements :

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is a PLUS
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
