Roadway Design Engineer II-III

We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join our Roadway / Highway design team in the Northern Indiana. The ideal candidate for this role will be an EIT with experience working on local agency and / or DOT roadway design projects. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our Roadway / Highway Design team is involved in a wide variety of street, roadway, highway and multi-modal transportation design projects for local public agencies and state DOT's.

In this position, the candidate will :

• Prepare preliminary design plans, documents, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Conduct analyses and perform standard computations, drawings, and visual aids for projects.
• May coordinate work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or other staff.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct field inspections to gather relevant data and contribute to site assessments.
• Utilize design software and tools for drafting and modeling.
• Support the development of cost estimates for projects.
• Perform quality control self-checks of assigned work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
