Description : Robotics Intern
Job Summary
As a Robotics Intern , you'll get hands-on experience with our robotic metal fabrication systems. You'll work closely with our experienced Robotics Application and Engineering teams, assisting them with various customer applications, system programming, and technical documentation. This internship is designed to give you a strong foundation in robotics and manufacturing while you contribute to real-world projects and help us enhance our systems and the overall customer experience. You'll receive in-depth training on our AutoTend robotic brake tending system. This is a great opportunity that provides hands on experience. and will be paired with a mentor to guide you as you learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with system programming : Help with programming complex robotic systems and troubleshooting applications.
- Support system maintenance : Aid in the evaluation and calibration of systems to ensure they run efficiently.
- Contribute to mechanical design : Assist with creating new mechanical designs and maintaining existing ones using tools like AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCad.
- Help with manufacturing processes : Learn how to transform designs into physical parts using methods such as additive manufacturing (e.g., RAISE3D Printers) and other manufacturing processes.
- Document projects : Help create and maintain system documentation and records, including standardized manufacturing processes and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Provide research support : Conduct research on new robotic systems and components to support the engineering team.
Requirements : Qualifications
Currently pursuing an engineering degree or a related technical field of study.A strong interest in robotics, manufacturing, or metal fabrication.Eagerness to learn with an enduring curiosity and enthusiasm.A proven ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.Intellectual flexibility and the ability to operate in a dynamic and evolving work environment.Hands-on mechanical experience through coursework, personal projects, or previous work is a definite plus.
