Job Title : Java Developer

Location : Springfield, MA - Hybrid

Contract Duration : 6 Months +

Type : W2 Contract

Our client in the Springfield, MA area is looking for a long-term Java Software developer to join their team. In this role you will contribute to a high priority AWS cloud migration project utilizing Terraform and GitOps while working closely with the infrastructure engineering team. This is a long-term contract opportunity if successful in the position.

Required experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, Typescript, Playwright, and familiarity with React
• Advanced expertise in Java programming experience
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot framework
• Proficient in Maven build configuration, management, and execution
• Familiar with JUnit testing and generating code coverage reports
• Skilled in working with the latest JDK versions (e.g., JDK 17 and 21)
• Strong experience using Maven repositories for managing plugins and dependencies
• Database knowledge, including PostgreSQL and Oracle
• Comfortable working with IntelliJ IDEA and its range of plugins and features
• Proficient in Git for version control and repository management
• Capable of managing multiple projects with independent Maven builds
• Experienced in using JIRA scrum boards for efficient task management
• In this role you must be comfortable working within a collaborative environment with integrated code reviews
