REPORTS TO: Senior Creative Project Manager

FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt

COMPENSATION: $17.00 per hour

PURPOSE

The Social Media Assistant is responsible for bringing innovative, on-trend ideas to the table and maintaining an on-brand presence across all social media channels. This person will work with the Social Media Manager in planning, creating, and executing content for all VASA social media channels. The Social Media Assistant will work closely with the entire Brand Team to ensure that VASA continues to lead the fitness space in social media. This role requires someone who is a great written communicator, organized, creative and experienced in social media trends, content creation and execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist in keeping VASA relevant and on-trend across all social media channels.
• Drive content creation across all channels.
• Assist in keeping monthly schedule up to date and planned out.
• Help establish and maintain brand voice across all social media channels, while ensuring consistent and uplifting engagement with our followers.
• Collaborate with marketing and PR team to brainstorm ideas to keep content fresh and relevant.
• Collaborate with creative team to ideate and develop branded social assets.
• Stay current on social media trends to ensure VASA is a leader in the fitness space.
• Advise, comply with, and support cross-functional compliance with social media processes and procedures.
• Assist with other Marketing projects including, but not limited to, assisting with influencer strategy execution, new club opening projects, online community engagement, and helping to drive the REVIVE business.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• 2+ years of experience creating and managing social media content for a business or organization.
• Highschool diploma, working towards a relevant degree a plus.
• Creative, with the ability to think outside the box.
• Excellent collaborator.
• Great eye for detail and design.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Some understanding of the marketing landscape and how social media fits in to the broader brand picture.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Passion for quality execution.
• Experience in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in video and photo editing.
• Experience using project management tools a plus.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• Physical Strength: Non-Sedentary work, standing and walking most of the time. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under limited standardization. Able to interpret various instructions and relay instructions to clients
• Attendance is an essential duty of the position. Employees must work regularly scheduled shifts, during business hours to assist members and sell services in-person.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Primary work in a fitness facility and office setting. Moves from cubicles to various fitness amenities and into locker rooms. Temperature variations can occur. The environment includes some ambient noise such as talking and use of gym equipment and machinery.
