A leading healthcare organization in Washington DC is seeking an accomplished General Manager (Level 6) Food & Nutrition Services to oversee daily operations for a large 900-bed patient-focused hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of day-to-day food and nutrition operations.
Ensure delivery of high-quality patient meals, retail services and catering programs.
Lead strategic planning, budgeting and financial performance.
Build and maintain strong client relationships and drive stakeholder engagement.
Develop and mentor staff to foster a culture of excellence, safety and compliance.
Champion initiatives that support the nursing relationship.
Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal healthcare regulations including DC-specific requirements.
Drive continuous improvement through operational innovation.

Proven leadership experience in food and nutrition management within a healthcare or hospital setting.
Strong operational, financial and client relationship management skills.
Demonstrated success in staff development, team engagement and regulatory compliance.
Commitment to supporting the nursing team and advancing the patient-centered care model.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
Proven record in overseeing large-scale high-volume operations.
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of management and functional experience in healthcare food service.
Experience managing regulatory compliance within the Washington DC area.
Strong leadership history with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent professional communication and team collaboration skills.
