THE POSITION

The Department of Education is looking for an Education Administration Associate to join the Food & Nutrition, Summer Food Service Program. This position gives you the opportunity to provide technical assistance and guidance to program sponsors, potential sponsors, and program staff, ensuring efficient operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will be working within the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Work involves reviewing and making recommendations for program procedures and policies, writing correspondence to sponsors, completing fiscal reports, as well as analyzing reports and claims for reimbursement. You will have the opportunity to provide in-depth technical assistance to prospective program participants, explaining proper procedures to apply for participation and advising sponsors of participation guidelines. You will also be responsible for conducting training sessions and workshops for Child Nutrition Program sponsors, interested agencies, program personnel, and food service vendors to ensure compliance with program regulations and objectives.
