What you need to know about this position :
- The Legal Risk Coordinator is responsible for the health system’s clinical legal risk management activities.
- This role will represent the health system in all ongoing litigation matters and will work with senior leadership to coordinate a legal risk management program, including the development and implementation of departmental and administrative policies and procedures affecting liability exposures, as well as directing and conducting educational sessions on risk management for medical staff and workforce members.
- This role will assist with the insurance renewal process, data collection, and broker coordination, supporting review of insurance contracts for compliance with risk and liability standards.
- The Legal Risk Coordinator will work closely with the General Counsel and Medical Malpractice Counsel to coordinate and conduct investigations, processing, settlement, and defense of claims against the health system, while working proactively with patients to resolve risk complaints.
- The base annualized salary for this position is $77,605. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The base compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This full-time position will require you to work 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm, Monday through Friday.
What is required for this position :
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in clinical field, nursing, compliance, or health field required (e.g., Healthcare Law, Compliance, Paralegal, Social Services).Experience with credentialing processes, legal discovery, and regulatory compliance in healthcare preferred.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
