Overview : Our client, an Energy R&D Authority who aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, seeks an accomplished Energy Program Project Manager .

• Location : Albany, NY 12203 (largely remote)
• Duration : 12 months contract w / possibility of extension Notes : Start Date : 01 / 12 / 2026. This role is predominantly remote. Occasional onsite attendance may be requested, but no requirement is currently confirmed. Contractors must provide their own computer, mobile phone, and reliable high-speed internet access. Description : The Project Manager will be responsible for recruiting Participating Contractors (PCs) and Participating Retailers (PRs) for the Program, as well as providing technical support and conducting desk reviews for scopes of work and installation activities. This role will utilize IT systems such as Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Asana, Oracle PeopleSoft, and Salesforce. Develop strategic recruitment plans informed by Program data, current participation levels, and future needs. Collaborate with Program partners, including Regional Clean Energy Hubs, to coordinate outreach activities. Engage contractor and retail channels to support awareness of the Program Opportunity Notice and facilitate enrollment. Leverage existing Program materials to create onboarding curriculum and standardized marketing language for PCs and PRs. Review independently developed materials from PCs and PRs and monitor for new submissions. Work with company and partner organizations to promote the Program and connect PRs and PCs with residents. Develop and maintain educational content to help customers understand their electrical conditions and determine whether contractor engagement is required. Manage the intake, review, and tracking of Scope and Quality Installation (QI) documentation from PCs. Conduct Scope Reviews to ensure compliance with Program requirements prior to installation and QI submission. Review QI documentation to verify adherence to applicable state and local laws, codes, standards, regulations, and permit requirements. Engage PCs to resolve missing, inaccurate, or incomplete documentation. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Program Manual and all related documentation. Coordinate with the Quality & Market Standards (QMS) team and PCs on inspections, recommending and implementing necessary corrective actions. Develop and review documentation intended for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Model strong adherence to company processes and support continuous process improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the Codes & Standards team. Qualifications : Bachelor s degree required; engineering or related field preferred. 7 10 years of experience, including residential construction and code compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Understanding of New York State electrical and plumbing codes and their field application. Experience managing or implementing company or utility incentive programs. Strong proficiency in Salesforce Lightning, particularly dashboard and report development. Strong technical understanding of relevant principles and their application to program areas. Experience identifying, assessing, and addressing technical issues within program environments. Recognized conceptual expertise within at least one technical program area. Basic understanding of New York State energy, environmental, and economic development issues. Demonstrated ability to independently manage and develop projects. Proven ability to develop project concepts and secure co-funding opportunities. Experience guiding projects through competitive solicitation processes. Ability to contribute to program development through well-reasoned insights and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities independently. Strong strategic thinking aligned with organizational objectives.
