We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Bindery Operator for one or more of the following machines : Perfect Binder, Stitcher, Folder, Cutter.
You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This role will handle small format products that require bindery work before they are packed and shipped to the client.
Shifts available : Sunday through Thursday 7 : 45 pm - 5 : 15 am, Monday through Wednesday 5 : 45 am - 6 : 15 pm, 5 : 45 pm - 6 : 15 am, Thursday through Saturday 5 : 45 am - 6 : 15 pm OR Monday through Friday 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm
A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have :
- a high school diploma or GED
- a two-year Technical or Trade School diploma
- three years’ experience as a bindery operator, cutter, folder or booklet maker
- worked in a manufacturing environment for 2-5 years
- worked in a fast-paced mid-size company
- the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
On top of that you must :
- possess a thorough and organized approach to your work
- pay close attention to details on every project
- have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite
- be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
- plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your work
- complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
- apply effective time management and self-management skills
- understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information
- be flexible to change
In this position you'll :
- complete the job successfully and provide a quality product the customer will want to order again
- run the bindery equipment in a small format capacity
- run existing bindery equipment and be open to learning how to run new equipment
- troubleshoot production problems to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
- perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards
- perform basic maintenance of the bindery machines
- complete miscellaneous projects and various tasks as requested by management
