Account Executive

Position Overview
The Account Executive is the client-facing project lead responsible for communicating and documenting the project scope and specifications, ensuring client alignment during project development, and reviewing agency work deliverables against client objectives and project specifications. The Account Executive is responsible for managing accurate and timely client communications of project information, status, deadlines, and next steps on a daily basis, as well as managing the submission, review, and final delivery of work and materials. This includes managing clients to their deliverables and deadlines as well as acquiring the needed resources and client stakeholder input to keep projects on track for successful completion. The Account Executive also works with project management to ensure agency work is developed in accordance with client processes and milestones.
Specific responsibilities include :
Account Management
- Represents client viewpoint in day-to-day project execution while partnering with Project Management to complete project plan grounded in scope of work, timeline, deliverables, and client / agency process
- Proactively manages Account and client deliverables in project work plan in partnership with Project Management
- Conducts regular client status meetings to communicate project development and maintain alignment with client objectives
- Manages client submissions and ensures agency work remains in compliance with client guidelines
- Reviews hot sheet / status grids daily for accuracy and provides nightly comments / updates to Project Manager as needed
Client Partnership
Initially provides information for project briefs and works in partnership with project manager to prepare and conduct internal kick off meetingsInitiates project timeline development with Project Management by providing complete deliverables list and client milestones; approves timeline against client-stated requirementsConducts project status calls, schedules external meetings, and communicates project status and updates by emailEducates client on aspects and timing of project development, including internal agency process / requirementsLiaises with client stakeholders and extended team members to drive project execution (eg, MLR team, meeting planners, medical / marketing reviewers, partner agencies, KOLs)Communicates project updates to team in a timely manner, including client shifts in project scope, direction, or timing that may impact agency resource requirementsLocal (tristate) client engagement travel as needed / requiredFinancial Management
Maintains accurate and up-to-date project financials in all agency systemsSupports Account lead in maintaining up-to-date project financials and tracking project actuals against client scope of workPartners with Project Management to review project fees, expenses, and reconciliationsParticipates in any necessary financial meetings to ensure accurate internal data and to support client financial status communicationsQualifications
Required
At least 1 year of relevant experience in the account services field within the advertising industry or a similar industryComfortable with scientific informationBachelor's degreePreferred
Master's degree in business or scienceClient-facing experienceProfessional and customer-service orientedAccurate and proficient note-taking abilitiesOrganized and detail-oriented with a take-ownership attitudeExcellent interpersonal communication and writing skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Can effectively manage time, multi-task, and handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environmentSalary range : $65,000 - $80,000
The salary range provided is for the NYC-hybrid position, which requires occasional in-office presence, and represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. For candidates in other locations, salary will be adjusted to reflect local market rates. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
