Financial Controller, Technology
The Financial Controller, Technology will lead financial governance and strategic oversight of high-impact savings initiatives across the Technology Function. This role is responsible for ensuring fiscal discipline, driving cost optimization, and enabling data-driven decision-making in partnership with Technology, Tech Finance, and Executive Leadership.
Flexible Work Policy : The Financial Controller position has been segmented as Hybrid, meaning the work is a combination of onsite (only 2 days per week) and virtual (3 days per week). This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Rosemont IL.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting processes, including scenario modeling and savings target alignment.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for key savings initiatives across the Technology portfolio.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to assess cost-saving opportunities and ROI.
- Define and implement value capture methodologies and metrics to quantify and validate savings across initiatives.
- Track and report on savings targets, actuals, and variances; provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Meet regularly with initiative owners and budget holders to help them understand their savings targets, actual performance, and opportunities for improvement.
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor initiative progress and financial impact.
- Collaborate with Technology leaders to align financial goals with operational strategies.
- Provide financial guidance on vendor negotiations, outsourcing decisions, and technology investments.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen financial controls and risk management practices across savings programs.
- Lead interpretation of complex financial reports and statistical analysis as well as development of recommendations.
- Support change management efforts by translating financial impacts into clear business narratives.
- Contribute to cross-functional transformation programs, ensuring financial alignment and accountability.
- Continuously improve financial processes, tools, and templates to enhance transparency, efficiency, and decision support.
- Facilitate regular financial reviews with Program Leadership.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and / or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example : state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $85,000 - $140,000.
